Cameo

I just wanted to share a story about baby Luke (and yes, you will always read about him because i am a doting tatie). The cute little baby just recently turned 2 years old in January but has no interest whatsoever in learning "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" or any nursery rhyme. He has, however, developed a huge interest in the songs i have in my ipod. Case in point: his favorite song for the past 2 months is Dare by the Gorillaz. The first time he heard it, he was dancing on my bed like crazy. Next thing you know, he sings it! He has his own lyrics though. The following is his own version of Dare's 1st stanza:
Cameo
Cameo
Cameo
Witch there! Oh!

Now, here is how the Gorillaz intended it to be:
It's comin' up
It's comin' up
It's comin' up
It's Dare! Uh!

I have to say, however, that given Damon Albarn's British accent, Luke's version is quite accurate. LOL!

Everytime he's at our house, he drags me to my room saying, "dance Cameo, tatie!" We crank up the volume and jump up and down my bed. When somebody peeks into my room to watch him dance, he freezes, scowls, and says "no more Cameo, tatie!" This means i have to stop the music...and I do. After all, I am a doting tatie. The person peeking leaves my room laughing. The cute little baby, in the meantime, scans the hallway for any more intruders. When the coast is clear, he comes back on the bed, and once again says, "dance Cameo!" We go back to what we were doing like we were never interrupted: dance like crazy.

Now, you tell me...how can you resist that maldito cuteness?! You can't. You just can't.
